CUSTOMER CARE

Customer care for customers of Cragg & Tail

CARING FOR OUR CUSTOMERS. CARING FOR YOUR SHIRT.

How do I take care of my Cragg & Tail shirt?

  • Follow the washing instructions for each shirt (see label inside)
  • Unbutton, turn the collar up and turn the shirt inside out
  • Don't overfill the washing machine
  • Preferably, set the washing machine on a low spin
  • Once the washing program is complete, hang on a hanger and button the collar. Stretch the cuff, collar and front placket softly
  • When ironing the collar, do so on the back of the collar rather than the visible side
  • When ironing the cuffs and collar, use a low heat and iron gently

How do I keep my shirt crisp?

  • Wash at 30-40c (see washing label instructions on each shirt)
  • Low spin program (to save energy and reduce wear and tear)
  • Measure the washing powder accurately and follow the instructions
  • Let the shirt dry on a hanger

How do I keep my white shirt white?

Other than advising not to go hiking in the hills with your white shirt, we advise the below;

  • Only wash with other whites
  • Unbutton, turn the collar up and turn the shirt inside out
  • Don't overfill the washing machine
  • Preferably, set the washing machine on a low spin
  • Dry the shirt on a hanger and stretch the collar, cuffs and front placket softly

How do I prevent underarm stains?

Underarm stains are the result of a reaction between anti-perspirant and sweat. Most anti-perspirants contain aluminium compounds to reduce wetness however these compounds cause yellowing on the fabric after continuously wearing the garment. No one likes this!

Our advice to avoid this is to use aluminium-free deodorant or one with minimum aluminium. Make sure you also allow the deodorant to dry a little before putting your shirt on in order to avoid rub-off on the fabric.
